Fundamental Ideas and Opinions

Less Government
Citizens may choose to live in a free country or in a totalitarian, authoritarian state centrally controlled and regulated to dominate all aspects of life. The Founding Fathers wrote the U.S. Constitution to limit central government power, to avoid its abuse and extension into areas not enumerated in the Constitution. Now is the time for all freedom-loving citizens to stand up against power-hungry politicians and bureaucrats by voting them out before it is too late for our liberties to survive.

Lower Taxes
High tax rates are another assault on our freedom because the more the government taxes and spends the more powerful it becomes. Although taxes are necessary, governments will spend every dollar they can tax, and will increase taxes rather than cut waste or increase efficiency. Citizens need to elect representatives who will work daily to hold government fiscally responsible to curb their lust to spend your money.

Politicians.  Also inevitable, but they should be watched closely and replaced when they have lost the Tea Party Spirit.
Constitution.  The founding documents are there to support our freedoms.  Abuse of power should not be tolerated.
Government Debt.  The government is spending at an unsustainable rate.  The longer we put off fiscal restraint, the worse we will suffer and larger the calamity will be.
Entitlements.  Promises have been made that cannot be fulfilled.  Reform is needed to save the necessary social safety net while not destroying the economy.

TeaPointer format. A TeaPointer is limited to three sentences. The first sentence should set up the subject. The second sentence describes the basis of the message. The third sentence should convey action or conclusion. TeaPointers can discuss news of the day items or broad philosophical concepts.
