ANALYSIS

1)  The proper role of government it to:  (choose all that apply)

            A.  take care of people

            B.  make life fair

            C.  protect our life and liberty

            D.  solve the people’s problems

Question 1 makes you answer the big question of scope of your government.  The correct answer based on the intent of the Constitution is C .  If you want a nanny state that intervenes in all aspects of life, then you would choose one of the others where the government is expected to take care of you.  Free people don’t let the government into their daily lives in order to take care of them.  The consequences are ultimately dire; at some point it will lead to an authoritarian, all-powerful centralized state.

2)  If you had to choose a newspaper to read for unbiased information, it would be:

            A.  the New York Times

            B.  the Washington Post

            C.  USA Today

            D.  none, you only get political spin and propaganda from newspapers

This question will tell if you have realized that all major newspapers are willing accomplices to the big government people.  There are no real journalists left at the major media outlets.  Recently the story about a daily internet get-together of leftist

media outlet (Journolist) where the newsmakers get their talking points.  You could go to these newspapers and think the opposite of what they state in their stories and be close to reality.

3)  The best source of current event news on TV is from:

            A.  ABC/NBC/CBS

            B.  PBS

            C.  Fox News

            D.  CNN

            E.  MSNBC/CNBC

Television may be more skewed and dangerous for you mental state than the printed news.  Pictures with emotional content like a drowning puppy or of the like will soften you mind and prepare it to be bent by the message of their choosing.  I give Fox News the only acknowledgement because they bring both sides in for analysis as their “fair and balanced” motto declares.  If you get all your information from the others, you are already a ward of the state.

4)  You should look for candidates who will:  (choose all that apply)

            A.  bring home the bacon

            B.  promise more government aid and programs

            C.  propose solutions to people’s problems

            D.  protect our liberty and property

            E.  promise to take care of those in need

Free people can only choose D because all of the other choices mean that you will vote for the candidate who will make you an addict for the heavy hand of big government.  A free person realizes that the government takes before it can give.  Even if they are not taking much from you now, eventually they will run out of other people’s money and collapse the state.

5)  What of the following would you least like to lose?

            A.  the United Nations

            B.  ObamaCare

            C.  Social Security

            D.  the Departments of Commerce, Health/Human Services and Education

            E.  your Constitutional freedoms

If you chose A, you are hopelessly lost as the UN has clearly shown that it is a dysfunctional band of crooks, tyrants and cut-throats over the last few decades.  ObamaCare is really not yet fully in effect but if you are paying attention to all the details emerging, you will be terribly frightened.  Even now Cananda, England and others who were held up as the model for national healthcare are looking to undo their system.  Social security is now paying out more than it is taking in due to this recession.  If you had all you paid into SS in a private account, you would be a multi-millionaire by the time you retire.  Moreover when you die, it would go to whomever you choose not to the government as SS does today.  The Department of Commerce missed Bernie Madoff and the fraud that caused the 2007 crash.  HHS is a gigantic agency that can’t run what it has now (Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, etc) without tremendous waste and fraud.  Wait until it has ObamaCare.   The Department of Education has been corrupting young minds to big government ideals for many years now by leveraging government cash that is only a fraction of a school district budget to get influence in the classrooms.  In answer E, you have your most precious possession as a citizen, your freedoms protected by our founding document.  Whatever is left of those liberties is being slowly taken away by big government.

6)  The best way to stimulate the economy is to:  (choose all that apply)

            A.  bail out the businesses that are in trouble

            B.  lower taxes and less regulation of business

            C.  socialize all private industry

            D.  massive, targeted governmental stimulus programs

            E.  increase government spending

Selecting answer B shows that you were paying attention to the miracle of Reaganomics where lower taxes and less regulation created a fantastic golden age that lasted from the mid 1980’s until about the turn of the century.  Right now we are devolving back to the “misery index” days of Jimmy Carter.  Keynesian economics clearly flopped at that time but those in big government and their willing accomplices in big media have resurrected this failed economic theory.  That explains why the massive government spending has only dampened the recovery and will prevent any rapid economic growth.  Lower taxes and less regulation will work whenever it is tried as it did with Reagan and JFK.

Socialism is failing all through Europe and countries that are turning around their economy (like Sweden) are doing it through free market reforms.  Also the fantastic growth in the Chinese economy only happened by implementing free market reforms and not by more government control and spending.

7)  Who is the best president of the list below?

            A.  Ronald Reagan

            B.  Jimmy Carter

            C.  FDR

            D.  Bill Clinton

            E.  Barak Obama

            F.  George W. Bush

In this list, it is only Ronald Reagan that cut taxes and regulations and allowed the private sector to grow at a rapid rate.  Jimmy Carter helped bring about the misery index through his mismanagement of the spending and money supply with the help of all the big government people in Congress.   FDR shredded the Constitution and grew the government like no one else had since Woodrow Wilson.  His policies made a deep recession into a great depression and never really solved the economic problems.  Only WWII saved us.  Bill Clinton floundered with a small tax increase and a weak economy until the Republicans took over the House of Representatives in 1994 and did things like cutting the capital gains tax and reforming welfare.  Barak Obama is a work in progress but within two years he has spent money on a scale never seen before only to generate a weak economy with 10% unemployment.  George W. Bush had such low poll numbers as he left office because he is a classic “big government” Republican who did spend too much and start massive new programs like the prescription drug entitlement.

8)  The Founding Fathers:  (choose all that apply)

            A.  risked their life and property to found this country

            B.  created the greatest political document based on checks and balances

            C.  believed in a limited central government

            D.  were white, homophobic, racist elitists

I actually met someone who called the founding fathers white, homophobic, racist elites; this person was a life-long member of a government union. Our founding fathers were fanatical in the creation of the most radically-free society of the time.  Don’t be intimidated by the slavery problem at the inception of our country because in the modern time it is outrageous but back then in their own time, slavery was globally practiced and had been for millennia.  The founding fathers took on a global empire and won their freedom then wrote the Constitution, a document without parallel especially in their time.

9)  Supreme Court Judges are supposed to:  (choose all that apply)

            A.  evaluate legal cases with due empathy for those in need

            B.  make decisions for the public good

            C.  always consider social justice in all cases

            D.  judge with respect to the specific written words of the Constitution

Unless a Supreme Court Judge is closely held to the strict interpretation of the Constitution they will become all-powerful.  They are un-elected and hold their position for life.  If they include feelings, emotion and political opinion in their decision, they are on the path to tyranny.

10) Public schools should teach:  (choose all that apply)

            A.  political correctness

            B.  courses on environmentalism, social justice and collectivism

            C.  that the United States has been the source of most all global problems

            D.  primarily the basics of reading, mathematics, geography, US history and                                                                                                                     physical science

Government schools have been taken over by the big government types.  Children are being dumbed-down and indoctrinated.  Even now, students are being corrupted with political correctness and the thought that the US is the source of all problems in the world.  It’s time to go back to the basics and eliminate all the soft social stuff and leftist propaganda.
